Seasonal and snowbird clients
Back in Dunedin for the season?
I take seasonal clients, I will work alongside your stylist at home, and the sensible time to book the season is now rather than in December.
If you spend the winter here and the summer somewhere else, you already know the problem. You have a stylist at home you trust, you are here for five or six months, and you either go the whole season without touching your hair or you take a chance on someone new every year.
I take seasonal clients on purpose, and I am not trying to replace whoever cuts your hair at home. Tell me what they do, bring the formula if you have it, and I will work with it rather than against it. When you go back in the spring your stylist should be able to pick up where I left off without having to undo anything.
Booking ahead matters more than most people expect. The weeks either side of the holidays fill first, and if you arrive in October and call in December for an appointment before Christmas, it is usually gone. Call when you know your dates, even if that is months out.
What seasonal clients book most
Questions I get asked
- I already have a stylist back home. Will you work with what they do?
- Yes, and I would rather you kept them. Bring their formula or the name of what they use and I will match it as closely as I can. The aim is that they can carry straight on when you go back.
- I am only here from October to April. Is that a problem?
- Not at all. A good share of my clients are seasonal. Tell me your arrival and departure dates and I will plan the color so you leave at a sensible point rather than partway through a grow out.
- Can I book several appointments at once for the whole season?
- Yes, and I would encourage it. Book them all when you arrive and you are not competing for the weeks around the holidays.
- I would rather talk to someone than book on a website.
- Call +1 813 563 3919. If I am with a client I will call you back the same day.
- My hair has changed since I retired. Can you help with that?
- That is a lot of what I do. Grey coming in coarser, hair getting finer, color not holding the way it used to. All of that changes what will work, and it is worth a free consultation before committing to anything.
