26 years behind the chair
Long enough to have seen your hair's problem before.
Former National Color Educator, Paul Mitchell
I taught other colorists how to do this, across the country.
Vidal Sassoon trained in precision cutting
The house that invented cutting for shape rather than length.

I spent part of my career as a National Color Educator for Paul Mitchell, which meant travelling the country teaching other colorists how to do this. Twenty six years in, I would rather be behind the chair than in front of a classroom, but the habit of explaining why something works has stuck.

My cutting is Vidal Sassoon trained. That is the house that worked out how to cut hair so it falls into its own shape, and it is the reason a cut from me should still look like something on the mornings you do nothing to it.

Most of what comes through my chair is color that needs fixing, or hair that has changed and stopped behaving. Grey coming in coarser than the hair it replaced. Fine hair that will not hold what it used to. A color that has crept darker year on year without anyone deciding it should. That work is unglamorous and it is most of what I do.

What I will not do is say yes to something that would wreck your hair to reach. If what you want takes two visits to get to safely, I will tell you that at the consultation rather than halfway through the appointment. I would rather you left with hair that still feels like hair.

Consultations are free and take about fifteen minutes. Bring photos, bring the formula from your stylist back home if you have one, and I will tell you honestly what your hair will hold.
